7th and 8th Grade Teacher
Hello!
My name is BJ Christensen, and I am so excited to be teaching 7th and 8th grade here at Rogers Adventist School. This is my fourth year at Rogers, and I have loved my time here. I've had the privilege of teaching young people for the past 20 years in Oregon, Washington, and as a student missionary at Pohnpei SDA School. My goal is to build meaningful relationships with each of my students while facilitating their academic, social, and spiritual growth.
About me:
I was born and raised in Eastern Washington and graduated from WWVA and WWC. After college, I moved to Boring, OR, where I taught alongside—and later married—my amazing wife, Heather. Heather taught elementary school for several years and is now a speech pathologist. We have been blessed with three incredible boys: our oldest, Liam, and our twins, Colin and Mason.
In my free time, I enjoy playing a variety of team sports, skiing, snowboarding, and boating. I also love spending time with my family camping, hiking, and playing board games.
I look forward to another school year and building new relationships with my students and our community. God has big plans for each of us!
